KalviApp Textbooks (Android app org.saravanakumar.mytextbooks)
Effective date: 20 October 2026
KalviApp Textbooks ("KalviApp", "the app") is developed by Saravanakumar GN ("I", "we", "us"). This policy explains what information the app uses, why, and the choices you have. If you have any questions, email kalviapp@gmail.com.
In short
- You don't need an account. The app does not ask for your name, email address or phone number.
- Your downloaded textbooks, notes, bookmarks and reading progress are stored only on your phone. We never receive them.
- The app shows ads (Google AdMob), uses Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Crashlytics to improve the app, and processes the optional Premium purchase through Google Play and RevenueCat. These services collect some device and usage information, as described below.
- We do not sell your personal information.
1. Information stored only on your device
The following stays on your phone and is not sent to us or to any service provider:
- Textbooks you download (PDF files) and their reading progress (last page read)
- Notes and bookmarks you create
- App settings, such as the light or dark theme
- A count of reading sessions, used only to decide when to show Google Play's "rate this app" prompt
You can delete this information at any time by deleting books in the app (More → Storage) or by uninstalling the app. Notes leave your phone only if you choose to share them with the Share button.
